A man drove his car into the main entrance of a building that once housed a military enlistment office and then set his vehicle on fire in Russia's city of Gus Khrustalnyi, Vladimir Oblast, Telegram channel ASTRA wrote on Dec. 25.
The man, approximately 30 years old, reportedly recorded his actions on camera before being apprehended by authorities. Firefighters arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze.
This event adds to a series of recent unusual explosions and incidents in Russia. In recent weeks, there has been an uptick in mysterious explosions at bank branches and post offices.
Just last weekend, a series of explosions in shopping malls caused panic among visitors.
