Ukraine’s SBI finds underground arms depot in Kyiv amid internal security operation

The operation was conducted with the help of the Internal Security Department of the National Police.

The stash was found in a garage in the Desnianskyi district of the capital and included:

• over 35,000 rounds of ammunition

• six rocket-propelled grenade launchers

• six drones

• 130 grenades

• 90 VOG grenade launcher rounds

• automatic rifles

• sniper rifles

• remote detonation devices

• surveillance equipment

• pistols

• anti-personnel mines

• and more

According to the SBI, the weapons were being stored by a member of a law enforcement agency and his father.

Investigators are currently working to determine the origin of the firearms, ammunition, and explosives, as well as the intended use of the stockpile.
