A morning Russian missile strike on Kyiv resulted in debris falling in the Darnytskyi district, Serhiy Popko, Kyiv City Military Administration head wrote on Telegram on Dec. 31.
Three private buildings and two cars were damaged, but no casualties or injuries were reported. Popko urged Kyiv residents to stay cautious and respond promptly to air raid alerts.
Earlier, city officials reported that missile debris landed on the roof of a private building in the same district.
Overnight on Dec. 31, Russia launched multiple groups of Shahed drones and missiles targeting Ukraine.
Kyiv's air defense systems operated during the night following reports of ballistic threats, with more ballistic missiles striking the city in the morning.
