Kaspiysk in Russia’s Dagestan Republic came under drone attack, with explosions heard near the shipbuilding plant, Astra Telegram channel wrote on Dec. 1.
Dagestan head Sergey Melikov claimed that the drones “were shot down over the territory of Kaspiysk.” He said the Republic’s security services had “prevented the drone attack.”
"Emergency crews are working at the scene," he wrote.
Astra Telegram channel reported that residents heard explosions in Kaspiysk this morning. Russian media wrote that windows in one of the apartment buildings were blown out. No casualties have been reported.
Astra also noted that the blasts occurred near the Dagdizel shipbuilding plant — a facility involved in the development of underwater weapons and the production of marine engines.
