General Staff reports 10k+ Russian ceasefire violations during Easter truce

A total of 107 combat clashes were recorded on the front line over the past day, April 12. Most of them were on the Pokrovsk axis.
Despite the declared ceasefire, Russian troops deployed 7,702 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,202 attacks on Ukrainian settlements and AFU positions, including 20 from multiple launch rocket systems, over the past day alone.
In total, there were no missile, air, or kamikaze drone (Shahed/Gerbera type) strikes during the declared ceasefire, but Russians carried out 1,567 artillery shellings of Defense Forces positions; conducted 119 assault operations and launched 9,035 kamikaze drone strikes (including 2,205 Italmaz, Lancet, and Molniya types, and 6,830 FPV drones).
Russian troops "strictly observed" the truce and remained on their occupied lines, Russian Defense Ministry claimed on April 12. Meanwhile, Ukraine was accused of 1,971 ceasefire violations.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced an "Easter truce" in Ukraine running from 4 p.m. on April 11 until the end of the day on April 12 on April 9.
Ukraine is ready for mirror steps during the ceasefire and Russia "has a chance not to return to strikes even after Easter," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed in response.
Russians attacked a trolleybus with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson at around 3:30 p.m. on April 11 — half an hour before the announced Easter truce — severely injuring its driver. He died in the hospital.
