Moscow was once again targeted by Ukrainian drones on the evening of Oct. 28, Russia’s Defense Ministry stated, claiming three Ukrainian UAVs were shot down as they approached the Russian capital.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said emergency services were working at the sites where debris fell.

State propaganda agency RIA Novosti reported that Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports had suspended flights. Russia’s civil aviation authority, Rosaviatsia, later announced that Domodedovo had resumed operations while Zhukovsky remained closed.

The attack marks the third night in a row that had Ukraine sending UAVs to strike Moscow. On Oct. 27, Russia claimed that 193 drones were shot down while defending against the previous attack. Loud explosions were heard in Serpukhov, a city south of Moscow, as well as in the Ramenskoye and Bronnitsy suburbs.
