The airport was closed to flights for more than an hour. Runway operations were halted, and police were dispatched to the scene.
At around 9 a.m., pilots reported a suspicious object near the airport that may have been a drone.
Federal police launched a large-scale inspection of the area, also deploying a helicopter, and temporarily suspended air traffic for security reasons.
No suspicious objects were found after the area was inspected, and airport operations resumed at around 10:05 a.m.
Hannover Airport in Germany was also temporarily suspended on Nov. 5, 2025, after a pilot reported a drone near the airfield during landing approach.
Several flights had to be diverted because of the incident, but operations resumed less than an hour later after checks were completed.
