Defense boost on the way: NATO allies pledge more weapons, long-term support

Ukraine "was promised an increase in defense assistance with specific figures. But let each country announce the commitments made in an appropriate format," he said, noting that the partners also pledged to increase humanitarian assistance, help with demining and participate in Ukraine's future reconstruction.

"Almost every country pledged long-term support with a focus on Ukraine's needs."

Sybiha is attending the April 3-4 NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels to discuss international military support, a just peace, and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine.

He also held separate bilateral meetings with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
