Satellite images show fire at Tuapse refinery after new Ukrainian drone strike

According to the image, the fire hotspot is located south of the initial blaze, closer to the seaport used for oil shipments.
Earlier, the General Staff confirmed that overnight into April 20, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a number of key Russian facilities, including the Tuapse oil refinery. Hits were recorded in the tank farm, followed by a fire at the site.
Overnight into April 20, drones carried out a second consecutive mass attack on the seaport in Tuapse, sparking new fires. Media reported about 10 fire locations following the strikes, including likely ignition of oil storage tanks at the Tuapse refinery.
A day earlier, a large-scale fire burned for more than 24 hours in the port of Tuapse, where an oil tanker was damaged.
The Tuapse oil refinery is part of Rosneft and is operated by RN-Tuapse Refinery LLC. It is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, specializing in primary oil processing.
