Russian army’s losses in Ukraine surpass 1 million troops — General Staff

Approximately 1,140 Russian troops were eliminated in the past 24 hours alone.

The General Staff also released a video comparing Russia’s human losses to the workforce needed to construct ancient wonders like the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Egyptian pyramids.
“One million Russians — killed or maimed — will never build anything, because they came to destroy and ruin a neighboring country,” the Ukrainian military stated.
Russian losses in Ukraine
On June 3, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that 200,000 Russian troops had been lost in 2025 alone.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) estimates over 1 million Russian casualties, with around 250,000 killed.
On June 7, Mediazona and BBC Russia reported the confirmed identities of 111,387 Russian soldiers killed since the war began.
