Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s "peace plan," which proposes a "Christmas truce" in Ukraine, is "on the table," and he is ready to discuss it with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Orbán said in Brussels, Telex.hu reported on Dec. 19.
Viktor Orbán said he is always ready for meaningful discussions when asked about potential talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, adding that his "peace plan" calls for a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine to prevent further deaths on the battlefield during Christmas.
Orbán, who will be in Brussels on Dec. 19 for the European Council meeting, described such ceasefires as not unprecedented in European history.
Zelenskyy arrived in Brussels on Dec. 18 for meetings with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron.
