"You cannot win with this plan," Orbán said, asserting that Hungary does not support the proposal because "it is not a winning plan for Hungary."
He emphasized that Hungary is not involved in the war and will not participate, reiterating his belief that military action cannot resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
"We must sit down at the negotiating table," he added.
On Oct. 17, Orbán expressed on his Facebook page that the Victory Plan announced by President Zelenskyy is "more than frightening."
He has repeatedly urged the EU to "change the current strategy."
"This does not mean we need more wars or dangerous, long-range weapons. We need to shift from a strategy of war to a strategy of peace. We need a ceasefire and peace talks!" Orbán said.
