The temporarily occupied parts of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya and Kherson oblasts were left without power overnight, the occupation authorities claimed on June 3, blaming a Ukrainian drone attack.
It reportedly damaged high-voltage equipment and substations in the Russian-occupied Henichesk district of Kherson Oblast and the Melitopol district of Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
The Moscow-appointed so-called governor of Kherson Oblast claimed that more than 100,000 residents in 150 settlements are without electricity.
Medical facilities are operating on backup power in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
