Russia’s overnight attack targeted railway infrastructure in Ukraine’s central Kirovohrad Oblast, forcing train delays, national rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia reported on Telegram early on Sep. 23.
At least five trains connecting Odesa, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhya, and Kramatorsk were delayed.
According to the State Emergency Service (SES), a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility following the attack. The fire has been contained, and emergency efforts are ongoing.
There have been no reported casualties.
