Russia strikes Sumy with Shaheds and air-dropped bombs, civilian homes and vehicles damaged - photos, video

Russian forces launched a combined attack on the city of Sumy using Shahed drones and air-dropped bombs, damaging civilian infrastructure and triggering a fire, which was later extinguished, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (SES) wrote on May 27.
One of the Russian bombs hit a non-residential facility, igniting a fire in the city.

The airstrike also damaged civilian homes, an apartment building, and several vehicles.

First aid was provided to the injured, and all fire outbreaks have been contained, the SES confirmed.

Explosions were reported in Sumy between 12:50 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. as part of Russia’s latest wave of drone and missile attacks across Ukraine overnight on May 27.
