Russia launched a mass overnight drone attack on Poltava Oblast, damaging an energy-sector enterprise, regional governor Volodymyr Kohut reported on Aug. 27.

Authorities recorded direct hits and debris from downed drones in the Poltava district.

Fire broke out on the enterprise’s grounds; an administrative building, vehicles, and equipment were damaged in the attack. The blaze has been contained, resulting in no casualties.

Kohut reported temporary outages for household and commercial customers, but power supply has already been restored.

Overnight, Ukraine’s Air Force reported drones heading toward Poltava Oblast, the regional administration said air defense operated in the area.

On the night of Aug. 27, the enemy attacked Sumy with Shahed drones. The city was partially left without electricity, and an infrastructure facility was damaged.
