Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on densely populated civilian neighborhoods, industrial areas, and oil and gas facilities of the administrative center of Poltava late on March 27, regional Governor Volodymyr Kohut reported on Telegram the following morning, posting photos of the aftermath.

Warehouses, administrative buildings, and a transformer were damaged in six locations in the city. There are partial blackouts in several districts of Poltava.

Nineteen fire engines and 90 rescuers responded to the fires, which broke out on an area of 2,500 square meters. They were extinguished by the morning.

“The Russian invaders committed another war crime - using Shahed drones, they massively attacked Poltava. They targeted civilian infrastructure, residential buildings and administrative buildings of oil and gas companies,” the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces wrote in its statement on Telegram, accusing the enemy of deliberately attacking civilian objects and endangering civilians, while continuing to cynically declare its desire for peace.
