Russia’s Samara and Krasnodar refineries burn after drone strikes - video

First reports wrote that around 4:30 a.m. MSK that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacked the Novokuybyshevsk refinery in Samara Oblast.

However, the outlet later clarified that the target was the Kuybyshevskyi refinery in Samara. The Telegram channel published photos and video of the fire at the refinery.

Samara Oblast governor Vyacheslav Fedoryshchev later confirmed the attack. He noted that temporary restrictions on takeoffs and landings were introduced at Samara’s airport.

Astra also wrote that after a UAV attack in Krasnodar Krai, the Afipsky refinery is on fire.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko said that the Afipsky and Novokuybyshevsk refineries are burning in Russia.

According to him, these refineries are “key to Russia’s war economy.”

“While Russia attacks kindergartens and apartment blocks, a number of its strategic facilities — including refineries — are burning,” he wrote on Telegram.
