A wounded soldier from the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade used supplies delivered by a Rys (Lynx) Pro ground drone to escape encirclement near Kostyantynivka, managing to bring a Russian POW to safety with him, in late January.

This story was shared by the commander of the mortar battery of the 5th Battalion, 112th Brigade, with Lemur call sign.

Rys drove practically to the shelter where the wounded Ukrainian fighter with Positive callsign was staying together with two captured Russian invaders.

The enemy spotted the group during the evacuation and attacked with artillery and FPV drones. Ukrainian defender together with one of the POWs managed to hide, but the Russian FPV drone attacked the second Russian prisoner — he was killed, "taking most of the impact on himself"; the UGV received wheel damage. Positive and the first prisoner moved to a shelter, waited out the day, and later, with the help of a backup Tarhan 3K UGV, an evacuation group, and fighters of adjacent units, were successfully evacuated.

Rys Pro UGV is a ground robotic complex designed for logistical tasks, reconnaissance, cargo delivery, and evacuation of the wounded. An early version of the platform was used as far back as 2024 in the Bakhmut direction, where it was able to cover 10 km on a single mission.

      • Width: 1 m
      • Height: 0.8 m
      • Start of operation: 2024
      • Weight: 295 kg
      • Remote control: 3–5 km (with repeater), 1.5 km (without repeater)
      • Payload capacity: up to 300 kg
      • Max speed: 8 km/h

One can learn to operate the robotic platform in one day. The UGV is capable of overcoming water and fire obstacles and difficult terrain. Combat robotic turrets can be mounted on it, in particular the ShaBlya turret, for participation in assault actions.

This UGV is remotely controlled; in case of using a repeater, the communication radius increases by over 2 km. It has a digital camera with day and night modes. A Steam Deck gaming console is used to control the UGV.
