"The Russian Federation has not initiated any deliberate aggression against Romania, and I assert with confidence that it will not, as it lacks justification," Ciolacu said. "It's about keeping our citizens informed, even if it causes some inconvenience."
The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed there were “no unauthorized intrusions” into the country's airspace detected by the army's radar surveillance system, nor any reports of random drone debris falling.
Although there have been instances of Russian drone debris found on Romanian soil, NATO does not consider these occurrences to be intentional attacks by Russia. To safeguard border communities, Romania has implemented a counter-drone system along its border with Ukraine, designed to alert residents to any potential threats from falling debris.
