Russian troops hit an energy facility in Odesa Oblast on the evening of March 7, marking the seventh strike on the region’s energy system in three weeks, Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, reported on Telegram.

The company’s specialists are working around the clock to address the damage.

The night before, regional governor Oleh Kiper reported that Russia launched a massive drone attack on the city’s civilian and energy infrastructure, damaging sites, including an industrial building and a gas station that caught fire.

On March 7, DTEK said Russian forces had targeted Odesa’s energy infrastructure four nights in a row.

That same night, Russia unleashed its most intense attack on Ukraine’s energy sector in weeks.

The Ukrainian Air Force tallied 67 missiles — 34 downed, up to 10 missing their targets — and 194 drones, with 186 either shot down or lost to radar. Mirage-2000 jets aided the defense for the first time, alongside F-16s.

Energy Minister German Halushchenko confirmed the barrage aimed at energy and gas infrastructure nationwide. Naftogaz and DTEK reported damage to gas production and power facilities.

Damage and destruction were reported in Kharkiv, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Poltava oblasts.
