After a series of audible explosions, residents of different districts of the capital reported power and water supply outages. Repair crews were on site, working to isolate damage and restore services as quickly as possible, local officials said on Telegram.
At 2:10 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that falling debris struck a 22-story apartment building in the Pechersk District, igniting a fire on the fourth through seventh floors. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but details on casualties and the extent of the damage were not immediately available.
Air defenses shot down some of the incoming missiles, officials said. Shortly afterwards, dozens of enemy drones were detected heading directly toward central Kyiv from several directions.
