According to him, the Russians likely opened fire from cannons.
“Chernihiv Oblast, the town of Semenivka. The occupiers shelled the location, presumably using cannon artillery. Three hits were recorded,” Tymoshenko said.
As a result of the enemy shelling, the town was completely cut off the power, he added.
One death was reported as a result of the incident.
Details of the attack are being verified.
Semenivka is located 11 km from the border with Russia. Russians probably fired at it from their territory.
After occupying Russian troops withdrew from Chernihiv Oblast in late March 2022, they have systematically been shelling the bordering areas from the territory of Russia.
