Ukraine intercepts 204 drones and three missiles during massive Russian attack

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight on Wednesday, July 22, with one Iskander-M ballistic missile, three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 216 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack drones, as well as Parodiya decoy drones, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
Ukrainian air defenses intercepted all three Kh-59/69 missiles and 204 drones over the country’s northern, southern, central and eastern regions.
The Iskander-M missile and 12 attack drones struck 12 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at seven sites, the Air Force said.
The Russian attack was still underway as of 8:30 a.m., with hostile drones remaining in Ukrainian airspace, the Air Force warned.
Air raid alerts were declared overnight in Kyiv and several Ukrainian regions.
A drone struck Chaiky outside Kyiv, injuring five people.
