Russian forces launched an overnight drone attack on Ukraine early on Nov. 27, using 89 Shahed drones and unidentified UAVs, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram.

The drones were launched from multiple directions, including Orel, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and mobile fire groups worked together to repel the attack.

The attacks triggered air defense responses in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Mykolaiv oblasts.

The Air Force reported that 48 drones were lost due to active EW measures. Another five UAVs headed back toward Belarus, Russia, and Russian-occupied territories.

Falling debris from destroyed drones damaged private and multi-story residential buildings in Kyiv Oblast. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries.

During the assault on Kyiv, the sound of air defenses was heard across the city. In Dniprovskyi District, drone debris injured two people.
