Russia deploys new Geran-4 jet-powered attack drones against Ukraine - HUR

The report stated that Russia assembled earlier versions of the Geran-3 using the airframe from the standard gasoline-powered Geran-2. However, that airframe proved insufficiently durable for high-speed flight and active maneuvering.
Russian occupiers have developed a new airframe with a reinforced structure and improved aerodynamics. Geran-4 was developed as a response to the effectiveness of Ukrainian interceptor drones, HUR noted.
The new drone has several key differences from its predecessors. Specifically, the wings no longer detach from the central part of the fuselage, and there are fewer access hatches on the body itself.
At the same time, the drone's dimensions remain standard: 3.5 meters in length and 3 meters in width.
Two types of Chinese-made turbojet engines were also discovered in the updated UAV:
Telefly LX-WP-160 — 160 kg of thrust
Telefly TF-TJ2000A — 200 kg of thrust.
The new design allows the drone to maneuver at speeds between 300 and 400 km/h, accelerate up to 500 km/h, climb to an altitude of up to 5 kilometers, and fly a distance of up to 450 kilometers.
Geran-4 can carry one of several warhead variants: a 50 kg high-explosive fragmentation or thermobaric warhead (OFZBCh-50 or TBBCh-50M), or an enlarged 90 kg thermobaric warhead (TBBCh-90).
