“Enemy forces advanced near Chasiv Yar,” the telegram message said.
Additionally, DeepState now marks the village of Pazeno,
north of Bakhmut, as firmly under enemy control.
On Feb. 25, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War said Russian forces may have taken full control of Pokrovsk in recent weeks, though Ukrainian defense forces had not confirmed that and had not announced a withdrawal from the city.
On Feb. 24, Pavlo Palisa, deputy head of the Office of the President, said Russian forces aim to reach the administrative border of Donetsk Oblast by the end of March or early April and to push further into Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
The New York Times reported Feb. 18, citing military
sources and Western intelligence, that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is
prepared to continue the war against Ukraine for another two years to secure
full control of the Donbas.
