Russia launches Iskander-M missile and 160+ drones at Ukraine, impacts reported

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 164 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas types, Ukraine’s Air Force said on March 31.

Air defense shot down or suppressed 150 enemy drones.

Russian forces launched an Iskander-M missile from temporarily occupied Crimea, and drones from Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Ukrainian forces recorded a ballistic missile strike and hits by 12 attack drones at seven locations, as well as debris falling at two sites.

The Air Force warned that several enemy drones remain in Ukraine’s airspace as of the morning.

Overnight, in the Pishchanske district of the Sumy community, a Russian drone struck a private house. No casualties were reported.

On the evening of March 29, Russian forces struck a critical infrastructure facility in Chernihiv.
