Ukraine downs 84 of 97 Russian drones

Russian forces fired a ballistic missile and launched nearly 100 attack drones at Ukraine overnight, Air Force reported on Telegram on Jan. 21.

As of 8:30 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 84 of the 97 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of attack drones.

The Iskander-M ballistic missile and the remaining drones targeted 11 sites across Ukraine. Damage from the downed drones was reported at an additional site.

The air assault is ongoing, with several enemy drones remaining in the Ukrainian airspace.

Earlier, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported that a Russian ballistic missile strike damaged five apartment buildings, nine private residences, an administrative building, and a car in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
