The invaders used two Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched from occupied Crimea and Russia’s Rostov Oblast, as well as an X-59/69 guided aviation missile fired from the airspace over Russia’s Kursk Oblast.
Ballistic missiles targeted Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, leading to no casualties but damaging civilian and energy infrastructure, including a hospital and residential buildings, and triggered power outages in the city.
Municipal property in the northern city of Sumy was also damaged in missile attack.
The drones were launched from the areas of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Oryol in Russia.
As of 8:30 a.m., 45 Shahed drones were confirmed intercepted over Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv oblasts.
40 more drones lost radar contact. No strikes or damages from the UAVs were recorded.
