The public channel published a black-and-white photo of an aircraft with the caption “Eternal flight, brother” on March 31.
Fighterbomber did not specify where or under what circumstances the Su-34 was destroyed.
The military portal Militarnyi noted that the Telegram channel used an old photo previously published in May 2024, now mirrored and with the tail number concealed.
Militarnyi suggests the aircraft may have been lost during a combat sortie as a carrier of guided aerial bombs.
At the same time, Ukraine’s General Staff and Air Force have not confirmed the destruction of a Russian aircraft.
The last report of a Su-34 being destroyed came from Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, on Jan. 28. That information was also confirmed by the General Staff.
On April 1, Russia’s Defense Ministry said a Russian An-26 aircraft crashed overnight in occupied Crimea, killing 29 people.
