Russia's artillery advantage shrinks, says Ukraine's Defense Ministry

"Currently, the ratio of artillery shell use on the battlefield has decreased compared to the winter of 2024. Back then, the ratio was 1 to 8. Now, it's 1 to 3," Havryliuk emphasized.

Havryliuk highlighted that Ukraine's leadership is working significantly to establish joint ventures with international partners to ensure the country can produce the full range of weapons and military equipment it needs.

According to him, Russia has a far greater human and resource potential, including mobilization capacity, than Ukraine.

He added that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense continues to address a number of issues to mitigate this Russian advantage by implementing various innovative solutions and military technologies to ensure superiority on the front lines.

Havryliuk also noted that the side that wins the war will be the one that can solve its problems faster and implement innovative and technological solutions more effectively.

On Sept. 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine plans to create underground production facilities for weapons and ammunition to reduce dependence on potential delays in supplies from international partners.

On Sept. 9, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that the gap in ammunition use between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders had significantly narrowed.
