At least 11 dead, dozens wounded as Russian air assault strikes 20 sites across Kyiv

Tkachenko stated that the city’s Podilskyi and Darnytskyi districts suffered the heaviest damage, where Russian forces directly struck multiple high-rise residential buildings.

As of 8:16 a.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported 46 casualties, with 27 people hospitalized, including three children.

The mayor added that the Podilskyi district sustained the heaviest damage, noting that residential high-rises also suffered direct impacts in the Darnytskyi district.

Damage in the Obolonskyi and Holosiivskyi districts is still being assessed.

Russian forces launched a mass combined airstrike on Kyiv overnight on July 6, deploying drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, after scrambling Tu-95MS strategic bombers. 

The attacks also killed one person and wounded 15 others in Kyiv Oblast. Local authorities are carrying out controlled detonations of unexploded ordnance in the Vyshneve and Bucha districts.
