Russia attacks Odesa Oblast again after recent civilian damage

Russian forces attacked Odesa Oblast with strike drones on Aug. 20, injuring four people, Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper said.

One of the drones damaged the facade and windows of a restaurant, Kiper said.

Four people were injured in the attack, according to preliminary information.

Authorities are still assessing the full extent of the damage and other consequences of the strike.

Russia has repeatedly targeted Odesa Oblast in recent days.

On Aug. 17, Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in the region in several waves throughout the day, injuring four people, including two 16-year-old boys.

A private home, several neighboring buildings and a restaurant were also damaged.

Overnight on Aug. 15-16, Russian forces struck southern Odesa Oblast. The attack damaged the facades and windows of three five-story apartment buildings in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.

Later on Aug. 16, Russia struck an Epicentr home improvement store and residential buildings near Odesa, injuring nine people.
