British intel warns Russian drone attacks could become routine in Ukraine

British intelligence reported that Russia launched about 2,000 drones over Ukraine in October, a rise of 700 from September and the third consecutive month of increasing drone attacks.
Russian investments in UAV production, supply diversification, and expanded launch sites have fueled the surge in drone strikes since mid-2024, according to the UK Ministry of Defense.
The first week of November saw a high pace of launches, with simple and easily restored launch pads driving the sustained intensity.
"If production continues unimpeded, the main limiting factor for Russian UAV operations is likely to be human resources relative to launch capacity," the report said.
On Nov. 8, Russia launched 92 drones, with Ukraine’s air defense forces shooting down 62.
