Russian strike damages schools and homes in Odesa Oblast

The State Emergency Service said four people were rescued from a two-story residential building.

Ceilings were damaged in four apartments, windows were shattered in nearby residential buildings, and two passenger cars were damaged.

A large fire broke out at an industrial facility but was quickly extinguished by firefighters. Rescuers also put out a fire in an abandoned building.

One person was injured in the Russian attack, according to the emergency service.

Explosions were heard in Odesa around midnight. Ukraine’s Air Force warned of Russian drones moving toward Odesa Oblast from the south.

Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa Military Administration, said infrastructure damage was recorded in three districts — Prymorskyi, Peresyp and Khadzhibei. He reported two people injured.

More than 20 residential buildings were damaged in the city, along with two kindergartens and one school. A critical infrastructure facility, as well as administrative and industrial buildings at an enterprise, were also damaged.
