The strike damaged three metro exits, three public transport stops, the city’s electric transport contact network, an educational institution and windows in nearby buildings in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, Terekhov said.
In Kharkiv’s Kyivskyi district, a Russian Molniya drone struck a garage cooperative, injuring three people, the mayor added.
Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov also reported damage to an apartment building in the city center. Emergency services were working at the scene.
Falling drone debris was also reported on a children’s playground in the Kyivskyi district. No casualties were reported there, according to the regional administration.
Ukraine’s Air Force warned of drones heading toward Kharkiv at around 6:27 a.m. Several explosions were heard in the city, Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne reported.
Russian strikes were also reported overnight in Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi and Osnovianskyi districts.
