Russia hits Kyiv admin building in repeat drone strike, 18 wounded in capital

The capital has remained under continuous bombardment since overnight hours, facing mixed waves of ballistic missiles and turbojet-powered strike drones. The casualty count in Kyiv has risen to 18 people injured, including a 10-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.

Impacts and falling wreckage from intercepted munitions were confirmed across more than 10 separate locations:

• Dniprovskyi district: Damage sustained to a commercial warehouse facility, office complexes, residential apartment buildings, and private vehicles.

• Solomianskyi district: A commercial warehouse building was damaged.

• Darnytskyi district: Drone debris damaged a warehouse building and multiple vehicles.

• Podilskyi district: The roof of a non-residential building caught fire following the repeat strike.

Critical Infrastructure Disruptions: Utilities and Transit

Municipal water network: Russian strikes hit facilities operated by municipal utility Kyivvodokanal. The impacts prompted emergency water supply shutdowns across Kyiv's left-bank districts and caused pressure drops in select right-bank neighborhoods overnight. Technicians have since restored standard water suplly throughout the city.

Commuter rail disruptions: The overnight bombardment damaged railway infrastructure at the Mykilska Slobidka ring rail station. Kyiv City Express commuter service has been restricted to a truncated circuit, bypassing the Darnytsia–Pochayna rail segment while emergency repair crews work to restore track power and signals - a process is expected to take 24 hours.
