Explosions were heard in Odesa as Russian forces launched a Shahed drone attack on the city, leaving two people injured, local governor Oleh Kiper reported on May 23.

"The Russian drones struck the Odesa suburbs," Kiper wrote.

"A private house was damaged and a man was injured. Emergency services are working to address the aftermath of the Russian attack."

He later updated his post and added that two people were wounded.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force had warned about groups of Shahed drones heading toward Odesa and the surrounding area.
