"An 81-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man were killed in the attack," he wrote.
"My deepest condolences to their family and loved ones. 11 people suffered acute stress reactions and varying injuries, among them a two-month-old baby boy and an eight-year-old girl. All were provided with immediate medical assistance."
The strikes inflicted extensive damage across civilian residential quarters, damaging 13 private houses and a motor vehicle, while igniting several structural fires that were addressed by emergency firefighting teams.
Systematic Strikes on Kharkiv Civilians
The lethal raid on Korotych follows a devastating daytime strike on Oct. 19, when Russian forces directed an attack drone directly into the central public park of Nova Vodolaha in Kharkiv Oblast. The detonation killed five civilians—three young women aged 28, 34, and 36, alongside two girls aged one and 11.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Vyhivskyi emphasized that Russian forces deliberately programmed the drone to strike the recreational park at peak hours when the grounds were filled with families and young children.
Preliminary forensic findings published by the Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that Russian forces utilized an advanced Geran-3 strike drone platform to carry out the Nova Vodolaha park attack.
