Drone strike damages houses and gas pipeline in Kharkiv

Russian drones struck multiple districts in Kharkiv, injuring at least two people and damaging residential buildings and a gas pipeline, Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on April 16.

Rescuers released photos of the strike's aftermath in Kharkiv.

A strike on a roadway in the city's Nemyshlianskyi district shattered windows in five private homes and damaged a gas network. Two people sought medical assistance.

Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement officers worked at the scenes. Pyrotechnicians surveyed the areas for explosive devices, and psychologists provided assistance to the people.

Initial reports indicated at least two strikes on the city, while authorities were still clarifying information about one of the impact sites.

One of the Shaheds struck near residential buildings in the Industrialnyi district. Authorities are now assessing the attack aftermath.

Several private houses were damaged and a gas pipeline was severed after an enemy drone crashed onto a road in the Nemyshlianskyi district.

Two people are known to be injured. At the same time, authorities warn that enemy drones remain over the city, urging residents to stay cautious.
