Russian forces install antennas in central Myrnohrad to boost drone operations

“In the central part of the city, the enemy is trying to set up as many antennas and signal amplifiers as possible to enhance its unmanned component,” the statement said.

The Air Assault Forces added that Russian troops have not changed their battlefield approach and continue to rely on small assault groups. They are using light vehicles, including motorcycles and buggies, in attempts to move quickly deeper into Ukrainian defensive lines.

Despite Russia’s numerical advantage in personnel and equipment, paratroopers from Ukraine’s 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade continue to repel and eliminate Russian forces, the military said.

The Air Assault Forces also released video showing operations by Ukrainian paratroopers in Myrnohrad and its outskirts.

Earlier, on Feb. 9, Ukraine’s Eastern Group of Forces reported that Ukrainian troops controlled the northern part of Myrnohrad, with small-arms fighting ongoing in the city center.

The 7th Air Assault Corps said Russian forces had intensified efforts to encircle Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in so-called “pincer” maneuvers, increasing pressure from the direction of Kotlyne and Rodynske.

On Feb. 6, Volodymyr Polovyi, head of communications for the 7th Air Assault Corps, said Russian troops had seized key heights around Myrnohrad and Pokrovsk, significantly complicating logistics for Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
