Russian forces launch Iskander missile, 100+ drones in overnight attack against Ukraine

Russian forces launched drone strikes from: Millerovo and Orel in Russia; Donetsk in occupied Ukrainian territories; and Hvardiiske and Chauda in occupied Crimea.
As of 08:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or neutralized 117 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east.
The Iskander missile and 14 UAVs made impact at 14 locations, with debris from shot-down drones falling in three locations.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported a wave of jet-powered drones approaching Kyiv Oblast and the capital on the morning of August 4. One target was tracked over the north of Poltava Oblast near the village of Chornukhy moving westward toward Kyiv Oblast. Simultaneously, another group of jet-powered drones was operating south of Chernihiv, also flying a direct course toward Kyiv Oblast.
Russian guided aerial bombs struck Sumy overnight on August 4, killing two girls – aged 5 and 10 – and a 75-year-old woman.
