Russian forces have renewed attempts to push into Kupyansk,
Kharkiv Oblast, by sending infantry through industrial gas pipelines connected
to the town, Ukrainian military spokesman Viktor Tregubov said on April 24.
Tregubov told Suspilne public broadcaster that Holubivka, north of Kupyansk, remains a problem.
"They have again renewed attempts to get through
Holubivka and through the pipelines," he said. "The pipelines are
still there; despite heavy losses, the Russians are trying to get
through."

Tregubov said Russian troops are also trying to attack along
the entire contact line on the left bank of the Oskil River, with particularly
active operations aimed at Kivsharivka. He dismissed Russian claims that they
are already in nearby Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi rail junction as exaggerated.
