The strike killed one person and wounded six others. The blast wave and detonations caused widespread destruction across residential and commercial infrastructure, heavily damaging residential apartment blocks, an administrative and manufacturing complex, and parked civilian vehicles.
Emergency rescue teams quickly contained and fully extinguished the fire on site, releasing photographs documenting the charred structural ruins.
Russian forces attacked Kharkiv late in the evening on Oct. 4 using Banderol cruise munitions. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed a double strike hitting an apartment building in the Industrialnyi District. According to Terekhov, approximately ten multi-story residential buildings sustained structural and shrapnel damage from the explosions.
Russian units also targeted Kharkiv's Kyivskyi District in the same operational assault. Preliminary emergency assessments indicated that the munition impacted open ground, causing no direct structural damage in that sector.
