Russia launches massive combined attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Russian forces carried out a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, targeting energy infrastructure, local governor Serhii Lysak wrote on Oct. 10.

Explosions were heard in Dnipro, Kamyanske, and the Kryvyi Rih districts. The strikes caused multiple fires.

Regional administration data indicated that one man, aged 66, was injured and hospitalized.

Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 60 drones over Oblast in total.

The aftermath of Russia’s attack was also recorded in the Synelnykove and Dnipro districts. Nikopol district came under artillery and multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) fire; details are still being verified, Lysak added.

Earlier on Oct. 10, Energy Ministry reported that Russian forces launched a large-scale nighttime attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure nationwide.

DTEK energy company reported partial power outages in Kyiv, where water supply disruptions also occurred. In Zaporizhzhya, gas infrastructure was damaged, and gas delivery to consumers was temporarily suspended.
