Russian troops execute family, take young girl hostage in Donetsk Oblast - video

Ukrainian troops said that during the assault on the settlement, Russian soldiers stormed a residential home and shot the child’s parents.

The abducted girl is still being held hostage by Russian units, who are using her presence to prevent Ukrainian forces from opening fire and to advance further along the Lyman axis, the statement said.

The Corps also released a video showing Russian troops inside Shandryholove and an intercepted call with a commander identified by the callsign Bali. In the recording, the officer orders his men to “kill everyone without distinction,” declaring that civilians “have nothing to do with us.”

Ukrainian forces stressed that the intercepted communications prove the Russian actions were premeditated. Civilians in frontline areas are being urged to evacuate.

Shandryholove lies near Lyman in Donetsk Oblast. As of Sept. 23, according to DeepState maps, most of the settlement is under Ukrainian control, but its outskirts remain in the “gray zone.”
