Russian forces attacked a DTEK energy facility in Odesa Oblast overnight on Feb. 21, causing significant damage, the company said.

Details about the type of weapon used and the scale of the destruction were not immediately disclosed. DTEK did not specify whether the strike resulted in casualties.

Energy infrastructure across Ukraine has been a frequent target of Russian attacks since the start of the full-scale invasion, with strikes intensifying during the winter months. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly warned that such attacks aim to disrupt electricity supply and strain the national power grid.

Emergency crews and energy workers are assessing the damage and working to stabilize operations, the company said.
