Russian attack hits Kyiv Oblast, damages homes and enterprise

Damage was reported in the Bila Tserkva district and Brovary district after a Russian overnight mass strike on Apr. 16, Kyiv regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk said.

Missile and drone strikes damaged production facilities at an enterprise and a private house in Bila Tserkva. In the Brovary district, four private houses, outbuildings and a car were damaged.

According to the regional administration, there were no casualties in Oblast. Emergency services are working at the strike sites.

Over the past day, Russia carried out two waves of combined attacks on Ukraine using 659 drones and 44 missiles. Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 31 missiles and 636 drones.

As of the morning of April 16, at least 15 people had been killed and more than 80 injured across Ukraine following the overnight attack. The highest number of casualties was reported in Odesa, where eight people were killed and 16 injured. In Kyiv, four people were killed, including a 12-year-old child, and more than 50 were wounded.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, three people were killed and 25 injured in overnight shelling. Damage was also reported in Kharkiv and Poltava Oblast.
