Russian strike razes Epicenter shopping center in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Epicenter shopping center in Kamianske, spanning over 11,000 square meters, was completely destroyed in Russia’s overnight drone and missile barrage on July 26.

“This is another terrible loss for our company and another blow to Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure,” the company said in a statement.

No employees were injured in the strike, but the company said people lost their jobs and the city lost an important commercial hub. Epicenter vowed to resume operations in Kamianske in the future.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Epicenter said it has lost seven stores to total destruction in Mariupol, Chernihiv, Bucha, Nikopol, Kharkiv, and two in Kherson, amounting to more than 125,600 square meters.

Two more stores were forced to shut down due to damage and proximity to active combat zones, and the hypermarket in Melitopol remains under Russian occupation.

In March 2025, Epicenter estimated its war-related losses at $1.02 billion — $751.4 million from the full-scale invasion and $267.5 million from assets lost in the 2014 occupation of Ukrainian territory.

On the night of July 26, Russia launched 208 Shahed-type attack drones and decoy UAVs, along with 27 missiles, targeting multiple oblasts across Ukraine. Ukrainian defense forces shot down or neutralized 200 aerial targets.

The main axis of the attack was Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, where three people were killed and six others injured.
